About Us
LMU Babysitters started as a Facebook group in 2013 when a student at LMU recognized a need for babysitters in surrounding neighborhoods. Parents and students joined the group, and it became a central resource for babysitters, tutors, and coaches.
Over the years, the group has grown mainly through referrals to other parents and word of mouth on campus. Today, the Facebook group has over 1,500 members, many of whom have formed lasting arrangements and relationships. LMU Babysitters continues to be a trustworthy community and resource maintained by and for students and families.
Who We Are
LMU Babysitters is a resource for the community. We offer parents in the communities surrounding LMU a platform for finding babysitters, tutors, coaches, and more. Parents use our network to create job posts for local LMU students. Students use our network to find jobs, both short and long-term. This service is free and available for students who are looking for jobs in the community.
